Our love for Hamantashen comes from childhood, and these triangle shaped cookies are typically eaten around the Jewish festival of Purim. Legends say it is in the shape of the triangular-shaped hat the villain "Haman" wears in the story of Purim, but some historians advocate that these were fertility cakes, but had to have a story behind them that made them accessible to all to eat. (Most likely because they are so delicious).
We make ours unique with a gluten-free sourdough, vegan pizza sauce from our Greenmarket neighbors City Saucery, and our friends at Monty’s who make a fermented cashew cream cheese.
Each box contains 6 Hamantashen, wrapped individually in biodegradable bags.
